There is such a beauty in being pregnant, and I want to capture that special time in your life! So I am offering a complimentary (30-60 minute) mini-maternity session with a purchase of a newborn session. You will be presented with 5-7 images that documents that magical moment as you prepare for your baby’s arrival! 

I find that this is also a great time to get to know one another! I feel it is an important time to build a trust, so you feel completely comfortable during the newborn session.

This offer is only available for a short while. So be sure to schedule your newborn session before the end of March in order to receive this limited time deal. You may book your maternity and newborn session any available date within the year of 2012.

Memories Timeline | MN Newborn & Children Photographer

I have to say, I have some of the best clients I could ever dream of having! So as a thank you, I have created a timeline collage that I would like to share with all of you!

All of my past clients can request one anytime until the end of March. I can use the images from your session or if you prefer you can send me your own photos that you have taken. I do ask that these are photos of which you have taken yourself and have the copyrights to.

Now this does not exclude the rest of you! For every 5 new “likes” that you refer to C. Bayless Photography facebook fan page, you will receive a complimentary memories timeline collage as well. However those of whom you have referred must leave a message below on this blog post indicating who they are and who referred them, so I am able to keep track of who each of the new “likes” are referred from. I then will have you email me 3 photos of which you would like me to use, and then I will send you your finished memories timeline collage for you to add to your facebook page!

Bundle up with Layers | Tips & Guides

Winter is always a great time to wear layers, and best of all layers photograph well! Not only does it add personality, but it gives textures and depth. This is also a great way to tie in all of the outfits bringing in accent colors without getting too busy. 

Fun ways to use layers:

  • Jackets
  • Button Up Shirt over T-shirt
  • Cardigan
  • Scarfs
  • Vests
  • Skirt over Leggings
  • Blouse over Cami/Tank Top

Imperfections are quite beautiful! And the ironic thing about it, is I try to be perfect. I would classify myself as a perfectionist, even though I find beauty in things that have imperfections. I like when things are different, as it creates interest. 

I mean, really, how boring would life be if everything was perfect, was the same!

Winter Wonderland | Minnesota Photographer

I woke up Saturday morning to a winter wonderland without snow! There was a blanket of thick frost covering everything, and what a beautiful magical display it was. I didn’t have time to go out and take many pictures but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get a few. 

It was amazing to see that there was such details making up such a softness to the over all scene. These macro shots shows the interesting details of the frost in its form of little icicle spikes. 

Hopefully next time I will be able to get out and capture more scenic pictures, as it looked like a winter wonderland painting.

Little Princess | Newborn Baby MN Photographer

I see a modeling career for this little princess when she gets older! You can say she gets her looks from both mom and dad, what a beautiful family they are. It is always fun to get those sweet sleepy posed newborn portraits, but I find it important to capture those special moments with the baby’s parents! It is such a precious and magical time that you never get back, not to mention it goes so quickly!

Comfort Is Key | Tips and Guides

One thing to keep in mind no matter what you decide to wear is to be comfortable in your outfit. If you aren’t comfortable it will show! Your expressions just might come across as unflattering and unnatural, because you just aren’t relaxed (as you are worrying about how you may look). When you feel good about how you look, you will shine with confidence!

Life is colorful and my daughter has a personality to match it! As most of you know I love details and capturing emotion. I always find it fun to look at things in a different light, angle or perspective! There is so much beauty in just about everything around us, sometimes it just takes a different way of looking it at it to see it. That is why I love art so much! You get to see, do and express things in so many ways and there is no right or wrong way of doing it. It is all yours!

Pay It Forward Giveaway | C. Bayless Photography

I am truly blessed with the people in my life! And I must say, my life is a blessing overall! One thing that I love about being a photographer is that I can capture and cherish moments of my own life. Remembering all of the details and emotions of the things we do just about every day. Yes just about everyone can take pictures, but not everyone can afford professional pictures!

So with this I would like to start a Pay It Forward Giveaway! One of the most important things to keep in mind (and in heart) about paying it forward is that it should be done as a selfless act. Meaning you help another person without wanting anything in return. Then that person does something to help another, and so on.

I think we all have someone in our lives that we look at and think wow what an amazing person. So I want you to think of someone that is deserving! Tell me about a person, child or family that you would like to nominate to win and why you think I should pick them. It can be for any reason no matter how big or small as every story and relationship is special. I look forward to hearing about some amazing people, of those whom you love!

The winner will be selected by me, Carrie, after I have read all of the stories entered starting today until the end of January. I will announce the winner by the end of the day on February 2nd! The winner will receive a complimentary session as well as my top collection “Precious Treasures” with a total price value of $1,560. Sessions will need to take place before the end of May 2012. Location of the session needs to be within 40 miles of Zimmerman, MN (please keep in mind I am an on location photographer).

I am so excited to make a difference and help capture someone’s life moments, so they too can look back remembering the details and emotions of their own life!
